Assistant Coach
Amanda recently completed her freshman year at UTSA, averaging 9.62 assists in 78 games and helping the Roadrunners to a 2nd place finish in Conference USA (CUSA). For her efforts, Gonzales was named to the Second Team All CUSA, as well as CUSA Freshman of the Week four separate times.
As a two-year starter at New Braunfels High, Gonzales registered 1,296 assists and 452 digs in her final season, helping lead the Unicorns to the 2014 District 25-6A Championship. Along the way, she earned various awards, including being named first-team all-state, all-area (San Antonio Express-News) and all-district, Volleypalooza all-tournament team, and the 2014-15 New Braunfels High School Most Outstanding Female Athlete. She also lettered in basketball, cross country and track & field and was a member of the National Honor Society and named academic all-state for basketball and volleyball.
