Hill Country Volleyball Serves the Youth of Boerne

A new business, dedicated to making quality, affordable volleyball available to the young girls in the Boerne area, has recently begun operations.

Hill Country Volleyball is run by 20 year volleyball coaching veteran, Pat Stangle, who brings his expertise to the youth of the Hill Country. Stangle, whose coaching stints have included the University of Washington and the University of Wyoming, brings a unique perspective to the sport.

"I've had the privilege to study and coach the game of volleyball at a very high level. The movement patterns necessary to be successful, whether in the Olympics or just starting out, are the same.

At the heart of the business will be the Hill Country Volleyball Academy run at local Elementary Schools. Beginning in the Fall, and taking place after school, girls in grades 4-6 will be introduced to the game the right way, from the beginning.

According to Stangle, “At Hill Country Volleyball, our personal mission is to offer a rewarding experience that will transfer to a lifetime of volleyball enjoyment and achievement.

We provide a safe, fun and positive learning environment where numbers of participants are kept low, fundamentals are taught, proper technique is stressed and opportunities to improve are constant, all under the watchful eye of qualified coaches.

Also offered are private lessons, small group training, camps and open play.
